FAQs

1 .What is your executive coaching style?

My coaching style is direct, challenging, supportive and results oriented. I focus on core values, feedback, and maximizing the value of each coaching session. I believe this approach is most effective for helping clients achieve results at the right pace.

2. How do you work with clients to set goals?

I work with clients to set goals by identifying the greatest sources of tension between core values, competencies, beliefs, and the client’s current and desired future state. This process helps clients to reduce anxiety and stress while creating meaning and purpose.

3. How do you measure progress and success?

At the beginning of a coaching relationship, my clients and I collaboratively determine their coaching goals, their timing expectations, and how they will measure success. We negotiate an initial timeline. This allows me to track the client's progress and identify areas where additional support may be needed.

4. How do you handle difficult conversations or challenges with clients?

When I encounter difficult conversations or challenges with clients, I handle them with direct, truthful communication in the moment. This approach ensures that we can address any issues in a constructive and supportive manner.

5. How do clients schedule coaching sessions?

Clients can schedule coaching sessions online by logging into thirstycrowcoaching.com where my availability and open appointments are accessible and easy to work with. If clients are unable to use the online booking system, I will work with them directly to find a time that works best for us based on my current availability.

6. How do coaching sessions typically unfold?

During a coaching session, I usually ask the client about their progress since the last session and any challenges or roadblocks they have encountered. I may also ask them to discuss specific goals or action steps that they have been working on. I will then work with the client to identify strategies and resources that can help them to overcome any challenges and stay on track towards their goals.

7. What happens if clients need additional help between coaching sessions?

If clients need additional help between coaching sessions, they are welcome to contact me during my regular business hours. I will do my best to respond to their needs promptly. Some clients may be interested in additional support, such as email or text check-ins, which can be arranged for an additional fee. I encourage clients to discuss their needs with me to determine the best course of action.

8. What is your cancellation policy?

My minimum coaching relationship is three months or 12x45-minute sessions, and fees are paid in advance either by a one-time payment, or monthly. I require two full business days notice to cancel or reschedule appointments, or cancellation fees will be applied. I understand that life can be unpredictable and that sometimes unexpected events arise. Please review the Cancellation Policy set out in the Coaching Services Agreement.

9. How do you hold clients accountable for meeting their goals?

I hold clients accountable for meeting their goals primarily by asking my client to reflect following sessions, document next actions steps, and to develop an agenda for the next meeting between coaching sessions. These measures help clients to stay on track and make progress toward their goals. I also provide ongoing support and guidance to help clients overcome any challenges or roadblocks that may arise.

10. What happens if a client repeatedly fails to follow through on agreed-upon action steps?

If a client repeatedly fails to follow through on agreed-upon action steps, I will work with them to identify any challenges or roadblocks hindering their progress. We may need to adjust the action steps or coaching plan to meet the client's needs better and support their success.

Clients must be open and honest with me about any challenges they face so we can work together to find a solution.

I understand that progress is not always a straight line and that setbacks are a normal part of the process. However, it is important for clients to be proactive in taking steps toward their goals and to communicate with me about any issues that may arise. Together, we can work to overcome any challenges and stay on track toward success.

11. Under what circumstances might you end a coaching relationship?

There are several circumstances under which I may decide to end a coaching relationship. Some reasons may include the following:

  • The client has achieved their coaching goals and no longer needs coaching support.

  • The client is not making progress toward their goals despite best efforts

  • The client is not meeting their financial obligations or is otherwise in violation of the Coaching Services Agreement.

  • The client or I decide that the coaching relationship is not a good fit.

The client and I need to have open and honest communication about the status of the coaching relationship. If I decide to end the relationship, I will do so professionally and respectfully and provide the client with any necessary resources or referrals as needed.

12. My organization has offered to sponsor my coaching. How do you work with companies and firms in delivering coaching services?

Organizations often sponsor, or pay for coaching services for our clients. Sponsors and clients alike must understand and agree to our Coaching Services Agreement prior to starting coaching. Sponsors and clients sign the agreement which includes Coaching and the Coach-Client relationship, Term and Scope of Services, Duties and Responsibilities of the Parties, Cancellation Policy, Confidentiality and more.
